Debbie Gibson and Tiffany Audition to be Cher

What do Debbie Gibson, Tiffany, and the Cher tear-jerker film “Mask” have in common? They were all huge 80’s hits. Now it seems that both Debbie and 80’s teen-music rival Tiffany are in competition again– they’ve both auditioned for the lead role –which belonged to Cher in the 1985 original– in the theatre musical adaptation of the film.

It seems that Tiffany, who tried out first for the musical, exited casting only to find Miss Deborah Gibson herself waiting to audition. And while it doesn’t appear that the two Britney has-beens hate one another, it seems that the situation came as quite a surprise. A situation about as awkward as some of Tiffany’s rhymes.
