Britney Spears is Actually Doing What She Does Best!

People.com has learned that on Monday our favourite pop-tart, Britney Spears, lent her superior talent to an assembly of six children in the form of an hour-long dance exercise.

The venue - Millennium Dance Complex, the children - spellbound, the class - amazing.

Decked out in crimson shorts, a blue top and those very unclassy ripped fishnets she insists on wearing, Spears choreographed a Madonna montage using the songs “Material Girl,” “True Blue” and “Holiday.” At one point she permitted her students to free-style dance.

“She even played age-appropriate games in a circle, pretending to be a choo-choo train,” Baker stated. “Britney was just amazing with the kids and everyone ended up having a blast. At the end of the hour class, all the kids hugged Britney and she seemed very happy.”

The kiddies - who ranged from ages 4 to 7 - were chosen from the studio’s junior program. “The parents gave their permission,” the owner explained. “They were thrilled. One parent summed it up: ‘It’s a once in a lifetime event.’”

According to a pal of Spears this could turn out to be a more regular date for the now ‘childless’ pop star.

To the surprise and delight of every hardcore Spears enthusiast, the singer spent an hour and a half practicing the dance moves to her new single “Hot as Ice” after the class ended at 7:00pm. This marks the third trip she’s made to Millennium since Friday!

“She seems very focused about getting back into her old life,” Millennium owner Baker concluded. “She’s focusing her energy on creating and dancing.”

Perhaps the judge presiding over her custody battle will see this as an improved state of mind. If Brit-Brit can handle a group of kids and manage to breathe life back into her career maybe she can breathe life back into her parental life too!

Dolly Parton’s Front Affects her Back!

Dolly Parton’s doctors have described her recent back problem as an ‘unspecified problem’.

Now, maybe the untrained eye of the celebrity watcher wont have the medical experience that a doctor would be blessed with but, hey, isnt obvious where the problem may be originating from?

Dolly’s back condition comes at a time when the buxom Tennessee songbird was about to embark on a world tour to promote her latest CD, Backwoods Barbie. In a statement Parton stated, ‘I know I have been breaking my neck and bending over backwards trying to get my new CD and world tour together, but I didn’t mean to hurt myself doing it.’

Is Rehab the New Hollywood Fashion?

Lindsay Lohan, Britney Spears, Keith Urban, Amy Winehouse and now the normally squeaky clean Kirsten Dunst. All have signed up for a spell in rehab. There was a time when walking the red carpet was all the publicity a celeb courted but now its far more intriguing. First it was fashionable to carry the little pouch in an oversized handbag, then it was adopting babies from foreign, war torn lands (see Madonna and Angelina Jolie for experts in this field!) and now a spate in rehab seems to carry the same fashion ticket.

There was a time when ‘rehab’ was a word kept under the table along with divorce, abortion and unwanted pregnancy, but now it appears it has become a way of courting the press during a down time in a celeb’s career.

So Dunst has had a couple of broken relationships. First Brokeback Mountain star Jake Gyllenhaal and then there was her more recent split with Johnny Borrell. Seeing Jake all snuggled up and happy with Reese Witherspoon sure didn’t help but which of us hasn’t experienced a break up and clawed our way back from the brink without a month in rehab?

Serious claims have come to light concerning the actress’s penchant for mixing alcohol with her medication. Prolonged nights of drinking have kept the 25-year-old’s family on pins & needles.

Maybe she should get herself a doggy in the bag or a baby from Vietnam!

Accidental Death: The Verdict on Heath Ledger

More than two weeks after the sudden and sad death of Heath Ledger the New York Medical Examiner’s office has released the following statement, “Mr. Heath Ledger died as the result of acute intoxication by the combined effects of oxycodone, hydrocodone, diazepam, temazepam, alprazolam, and doxylamine,” the office said in a statement.

“We have concluded that the manner of death is accident, resulting from the abuse of prescription medications.”

Heath Ledger, 28, was found dead in bed at his Manhattan apartment on January 22^nd 2008 after his housekeeer could not raise him for an appointment he had make for 3.30 pm that day.

Heath’s career had seen him achieving much in his 28 years, a rising star in Hollywood, a father, a partner and man respected and adored by other actors and fans alike.

Heath received an Oscar nomination for the 2005 movie Brokeback Mountain and had completed filming his role as The Joker in The Dark Knight, a Batman film due out this year which saw Heath taking the role from Jack Nicholson and starring alongside Christian Bale, Michael Caine and Maggie Gyllenhaal, the sister of his co star in Brokeback Mountain, Jake Gyllenhaal.

Other film credits included The Patriot in 2000 in which he starred as Mel Gibson’s son Monster’s Ball in 2001 and I’m Not There in 2007.

With the results from the examiner’s office it is now only fitting that the speculation and rumours surrounding Heath’e death should be laid to rest along with his memory.

Angelina Jolie Wins Yet Another Award!

On Saturday evening humanitarian beauty Angelina Jolie was awarded the Santa Barbara International Film Festival’s Outstanding Performance of the Year Award for A Mighty Heart.

While there, the Oscar winner must have been in a very comfortable, tell-all sort of mood as she revealed several tasty tidbits.

When asked about her attraction to former boyfriend, Billy Bob Thornton she commented, and we think she may have been joking, I thought he was an amazing artist, and still is.” Really???

Under further investigation into the world of Angelina Jolie she chose Brad Pitt as the sexiest man alive over the other choice, Matt Damon. No great surpirse there. They are ‘in bed’ together!

But Angelina named her children as the greatest passion in her life. Guess they cant cheat, lie or leave her, well not for a few years anyway!

Amy Winehouse on the Loose in the USA???

Who was it who said, ‘any publicity is good publicity?’ Not so for the trouble Amy Winehouse.

The Back to Black singer was allowed to leave rehab at Capio Nightingale clinic in north London on January 24, days after a video emerged showing her apparently smoking crack cocaine and last October she was arrested and fined in Norway for possession of cannabis while visitng with her husband Blake Civil Fielder.

Her trip out was for the purpose of attending the US Embassy in London to apply for a visa to gain her entrance to America to attend the Grammy Awards in Los Angles on February 10th 2008. She has been nominated for 6 Grammys.

Unlike any ‘normal’ person wishing to travel to the USA, due to Amy’s international exposure to the media following her troubled drug rehabilitation, she has to apply to the embassy for a visa. She cant just fill in the statutory green waver form given to ‘clean’ visitors to the US.

On her jaunt out of rehab Winehouse was accompanied by a nurse, as the terms of her treatment mean she must remain under supervision at all times. Her father, Mitch, was also by her side.

Amy, 24, was dressed in normal street clothes. A white skirt and a polka dot top, but still sported a beehive hair-do. She appeared to be in much better health than the last time she was photographed entering rehab.

No immediate decision has been made about her visa and a spokesperson said, “Amy was accompanied by a nurse as the appointment was under supervision. She has not left rehab and remains under the care of the clinic.”

Ooh la la! Paris Hilton is definitely lovin’ the ladies these days. First it was Katherine Moennig, then came Brittny Gastineau, and now Elisha Cuthbert is up to bat.

Tongues were wagging Tuesday evening as the rumored couple were “all over each other and making out” at New York’s Tenjune club. “It’s Paris,” an onlooker told Us Weekly. “She loves putting on a show.”

Although the two arrived separately - Hilton was already in attendance to celebrate a friend’s birthday - they were spotted walking hand in hand back to the heiress’s hotel room! At 5:00am no less; can you spell n-o-o-k-i-e?

The party pals initially met in 2005 while filming House of Wax together. Paris sure made some strong connections with that flick; remember when she “coerced” her co-star Chad Michael Murray into cheating on his fiancée Sophia Busch? What a little home-wrecker.

“They’ve been close for a couple of years now,” an insider revealed to The Daily Mail. “Paris comforted Elisha after she split from her boyfriend Sean Avery last year.”

The source added that Cuthbert became a shoulder to cry on for Hilton after she broke it off with Stavros Niarchos.
