The material girl is living up to her name as she splashes out on yet another piece of UK property in the form of The Punchbowl, a London watering hole, commonly known as a pub!
The would-be investment entrepreneur, Madonna and husband Guy Ritchie gave up a staggering $5 million for an 18th century pub in the up market district of Mayfair, in London.
Madonna’s is a woman on a mission! She’s been busy buying up chunks of London lately and her latest investment in a traditional London Pub.
A source tells British newspaper People, “She absolutely adores the pub. They pop in regularly to get away from it all. Madonna loves the beer and Guy meets all his pals down there. They have been desperate to own this place for a long time and have been making offers on it for ages. Now it has finally happened. It’s only around the corner from their West End home. She will be the most glamorous landlady alive.”
Oh yes, every glamorous lady in London owns a pub and drinks beer. What’s the old expression, ‘ you can take the girl out of Michigan but you cant take Michigan out of the girl!
