Wham! George Michael Takes a Stand!

George Michael is the latest celebrity to hit back at the constant barrage of useless information that makes the front pages of the rag styled tabloids relating to celebrities and their lives.

George has an idea that it all amounts to propaganda on behalf of the government to keep the masses from reading about any relevant stories that may affect the world in general. In an interview on the South Bank Show, Michael stated, “In England I’ve probably had about 20 or 30 front pages in last two-and-a-half-years and what interests me is what else happened on those same days, and how much our government is getting away with day after day. It’s the perfect cover-up to every major story they don’t want us to hear: ‘What did Britney Spears do today? Where did George Michael fall asleep?’”

While he probably has a point, George is only pointing his finger at the morons who only have limited ability to read, never mind process such information, and have probably only ever seen The Times, The Observer, The Guardian and the Financial Times holding their greasy fish and chips and onion baji firmly in place!

So don’t fret too much George, the intelligent among us realize that most of the rubbish we read about you, and your new best friend, Britney Spears, is probably a load of old bull!

Jamie Lynn Spears Plans Ahead….All Too late!

Jamie Lynn Spears is making plans to get married, probably months after the birth of her baby, to ensure she has regained her sylph like figure.

What a shame she didn’t think about planning the pregnancy that far in advance and after she was actually married.

Jamie, who is now 17 and pregnant with Casey Aldridges baby, has asked her sister Britney Spears to head the list of bridesmaids at the ‘planned’ event which will take place at their mother’s mansion in Louisiana after the birth.

Following in the footsteps of Ashlee Simpson, Brooke Shields and Renee Zellweger, Nicole is set to become the next big name to play the role.

Although Nicole and Joel, along with baby Harlow, born in January this year, are based in Los Angeles, she is considering relocating the family to New York, an insider tells American magazine Us Weekly.

Outshining her big sis’ in the responsibility-department once again, little Jamie Lynn Spears has officially passed her GED!

People got the lowdown from a family friend who says that the former Zoey 101 cutie has only begun her higher-education quest. After tackling the high school equivalency exam last month – where she scored in the upper percentile for reading comprehension – Jamie decided to go for the gold by preparing herself for the ACT college entrance test.

“She’s already got her diploma,” the close acquaintance stated. “She wants to take her ACT. She’s not wasting any time.

Spears wants out of this whole “getting better” thing. She spoke with a lawyer on Saturday about getting back to her old crazy bitch routine. She must be itching for a late night trip to Right Aid, a photo on the internet with no underwear and a gas station tour right about now.

Britney Spears is Actually Doing What She Does Best!

People.com has learned that on Monday our favourite pop-tart, Britney Spears, lent her superior talent to an assembly of six children in the form of an hour-long dance exercise.

The venue - Millennium Dance Complex, the children - spellbound, the class - amazing.

Decked out in crimson shorts, a blue top and those very unclassy ripped fishnets she insists on wearing, Spears choreographed a Madonna montage using the songs “Material Girl,” “True Blue” and “Holiday.” At one point she permitted her students to free-style dance.

“She even played age-appropriate games in a circle, pretending to be a choo-choo train,” Baker stated. “Britney was just amazing with the kids and everyone ended up having a blast. At the end of the hour class, all the kids hugged Britney and she seemed very happy.”

The kiddies - who ranged from ages 4 to 7 - were chosen from the studio’s junior program. “The parents gave their permission,” the owner explained. “They were thrilled. One parent summed it up: ‘It’s a once in a lifetime event.’”

According to a pal of Spears this could turn out to be a more regular date for the now ‘childless’ pop star.

To the surprise and delight of every hardcore Spears enthusiast, the singer spent an hour and a half practicing the dance moves to her new single “Hot as Ice” after the class ended at 7:00pm. This marks the third trip she’s made to Millennium since Friday!

“She seems very focused about getting back into her old life,” Millennium owner Baker concluded. “She’s focusing her energy on creating and dancing.”

Perhaps the judge presiding over her custody battle will see this as an improved state of mind. If Brit-Brit can handle a group of kids and manage to breathe life back into her career maybe she can breathe life back into her parental life too!

Is Rehab the New Hollywood Fashion?

Lindsay Lohan, Britney Spears, Keith Urban, Amy Winehouse and now the normally squeaky clean Kirsten Dunst. All have signed up for a spell in rehab. There was a time when walking the red carpet was all the publicity a celeb courted but now its far more intriguing. First it was fashionable to carry the little pouch in an oversized handbag, then it was adopting babies from foreign, war torn lands (see Madonna and Angelina Jolie for experts in this field!) and now a spate in rehab seems to carry the same fashion ticket.

There was a time when ‘rehab’ was a word kept under the table along with divorce, abortion and unwanted pregnancy, but now it appears it has become a way of courting the press during a down time in a celeb’s career.

So Dunst has had a couple of broken relationships. First Brokeback Mountain star Jake Gyllenhaal and then there was her more recent split with Johnny Borrell. Seeing Jake all snuggled up and happy with Reese Witherspoon sure didn’t help but which of us hasn’t experienced a break up and clawed our way back from the brink without a month in rehab?

Serious claims have come to light concerning the actress’s penchant for mixing alcohol with her medication. Prolonged nights of drinking have kept the 25-year-old’s family on pins & needles.

Maybe she should get herself a doggy in the bag or a baby from Vietnam!

Now it seems that her two boys, Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1, know it too. Apparently, Britney Spears is so upset with her parents for, you know, trying to help her clean up her act (how evil of them!) that she didn’t let her two sons open their Christmas presents from Grandpa and Grandma Spears.

A family insider told celebrity gossip site PageSix.com that “Britney would not let her boys open the gifts from her mom and dad. Apparently she hid them, and she told Kevin [Federline] she might send them back to her parents un-opened.” That’s cold, Brit.

According to the family insider, Kevin did his best to set Britney straight.”Kevin told her to stop acting like a spoiled brat,” said the family insider. “He asked her to give them to him and he would let them open them.” Ah, Kevin. Always the voice of reason.

Britney Thrown Out of Four Seasons

An inside source has told celebrity tabloid TMZ.com that Britney Spears will no longer be allowed to live part-time at super posh hotel The Four Seasons. It seems the hotel has asked Ms. Spears’s people to tell her not to return. Perhaps the other guests were bothered by the constant stink of Cheetos and chocolate wafting through the hotel halls?

Snack food wasn’t mentioned, though we expect it may have played a part. It seems that the hotel has grown tired of guest complaints, paparazzi invasions, and the shit-pile of Brit’s negative publicity stinking up the air around their hotel.

Britney has been kicked out of hotels before. The Wack-Job Princess was recently told not to return to the restaurant at the Chateau Marmont, where she smeared her food all over her face in front of a bunch of snooty guests.

Hey guys, cut Britney some slack… she was probably trying to cover up that nasty mass of pimples on her chin.

Britney Shocked by News of Sister’s Pregnancy

It looks like Britney Spears was unaware of her 16-year-old sister’s pregnancy, and had to hear the news along with the rest of the world. Poor Brit. Did they not trust her to keep the secret? After hearing about the pregnancy, Britney went shopping at the Lisa Klein boutique, tried on some clothes, and on leaving told reporters “My sister’s not pregnant!” So much for taking the news with class.

We understand why she might be confused. Though after turning from Pop-Star Britney into Britney the Wreck, Brit has been estranged from her mother– but has spent time with her sister Jamie Lynn, who defended Britney when a neighbor verbally attacked her in October.
