Celine Leaves Vegas in Peace

You’d think they’d be relieved, but they really seemed to like her. After 717 sold out shows at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas, the slightly scary star gave her last Vegas concert on Saturday night. For the finale, Dion’s husband and seven year-old son joined her onstage under a rain of rose petals. How fittingly melodramatic.

If you’re kicking yourself for missing your chance to take Grandma to see her favorite singer in Vegas, don’t worry. In February, she’ll be on tour to promote her new album, “Taking Chances.” So yay for your grandma. As for Vegas, it looks like Dion’s already been replaced at Caesar’s Palace… by none other than Better Midler. Big voices, mass Grandma appeal, giant heads. Is this a Caesar’s theme?
