The man who first came to the world’s attention as the sexy dance instructor in the movie Dirty Dancing has announced he is now in the biggest fight of his life, against cancer.

Apart from the recent death of Heath Ledger this is probably one of the saddest pieces of information to come out the world of celebrity so far this year.

Patrick was given the news a month ago that he had pancreatic cancer and since them rumours have abounded of him only having weeks to live. But his oncologist, Dr. George Fisher, has said the prognosis is not that bad and all of the reports stating the timeframe of his prognosis and his physical side effects are absolutely untrue.

Swayzee, who had us all weeping as he spooked Demi Moore and Whoopi Goldberg in the 1990’s movie Ghost, is said to be responding well to treatment and has a very limited amount of disease thus far and no time has been put on his life expectancy.

The world of celebrity is right behind Patrick during his battle with this disease and wishes him well and the outpouring of support and concern he has already received from the public has been said to be appreciated by Patrick and his family.

Heppy Birthday to You, Ashton Kutcher

Wow! What a present Ashton had for his birthday this year! A suspcted dose of Heppy- A. He’s probably quite happy about it though as it still sees him and his glamorous wife Demi Mooore on the A-List. Hevaen only knows how he would have felt about Heppy B!

According to Eonline.com, the New York City Department of Health issued a warning announcing that a case of Hepatitis A was recently discovered at the eatery.

The organization worked as quickly as possible to educate Socialista’s management about a particular bartender who was seen working on Feb. 7th, 8th and 11th who had come in contact with the disease but had failed to mention it. Must have just slipped his mind?

The owners, as well as the aforementioned association, are urging everyone who drank and ate on those nights - approximately 800 people - to get vaccinated as a precaution.

Despite the fact that the infection is classified as “manageable,” there’s basically only one way of catching it and it’s rather disgusting: coming within very close proximity of fecal matter.

What a shi**y start to your 31st Birthday!
